SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES

  • Restore and develop Nimalung Dratshang into a Centre of Excellence for Buddhist Studies.
  • Preserve and propagate the textual and realizational doctrines of Buddhism.
  • Teach primary and higher Buddhist studies of Ten Sciences.
  • Guide practitioners in meditation practices, calm abiding, understanding of emptiness and mindful compassion.
  • Conduct empowerment, oral transmission and propagate Buddhist through exposition, debate and composition.
  • Preserve and promote the fine and performing monastic arts, rituals and other important traditions and practices through studies and research.
  • Perform general rituals for the flourishing of Buddha Dharma such as sadhana practice of pure Realm (Zhingdrub), fasting retreats (Nyung-ney) and Drubchen undertakings.
  • Address the problems of drug abuse and youth delinquency through spiritual methods.
  • Provide material and emotional support to victims of natural calamities and the disadvantaged sections of society.
  • Facilitate or undertake research and publication of books and magazines on subjects of religious and social importance.
